Glasvezel-patchkabel helos 50/125 µm OM3 SC 15 m duplex aqua

The helos fiber optic patch cable LWL 50/125µm OM3 SC 15m Duplex Aqua is a multimode duplex cable designed for high‑speed optical connections in LANs, data centers and telecommunication environments. It features OM3 graded multimode fiber with a 50/125 µm core/cladding profile and SC connectors on both ends in a duplex configuration. The aqua jacket identifies the OM3 specification and helps with cable management and quick identification in structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This helos OM3 duplex patch cable provides low insertion loss and consistent modal bandwidth suitable for short to medium distance multimode links. The SC connectors offer push‑pull coupling and stable mechanical mating, while duplex construction integrates transmit and receive fibers in one cable for neat routing. The 15 m length balances flexibility and reach for equipment interconnections without introducing excessive slack.

Suitable for

• Patch panels and switch-to-switch connections in local area networks (LAN)
• Server ports to network equipment in data center racks
• Telecommunication room cross‑connects and structured cabling links
• Multimode fiber backbone segments within buildings

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3, 50/125 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Cable length: 15 m
• Jacket color: Aqua (OM3 identification)
• Construction: Duplex (two fibers in one assembly)
• Typical use: Short to medium distance multimode optical links

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean if necessary to ensure optimal optical performance. Route the duplex cable through cable trays or management panels, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tensile stress; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fiber. Insert SC connectors into matching SC ports on network devices or patch panels until they click into place. For duplex connections, align the transmit and receive fibers correctly according to equipment labeling to ensure proper link orientation.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled loosely and protected from dust when not in use. Use dust caps on unused connectors and consider using fiber cleaning tools periodically. For critical links, verify signal integrity with appropriate optical test equipment after installation.
