Netwerkkabel helos Bulkkabel 305m S/FTP Cat8 halogeenvrij blauw

Helos Bulkkabel 305m S/FTP Cat8 halogen-free blue is a 305-meter bulk network cable engineered for high-bandwidth, shielded installations. Constructed with individually shielded twisted pairs and an overall foil shield (S/FTP), this Cat8 cable is intended for demanding backbone and horizontal links where bandwidth, signal integrity and low interference are required. The halogen-free outer jacket reduces toxic and corrosive emissions in the event of fire, making the cable suitable for installations where safety and building regulations prioritize low-smoke, zero-halogen materials.

Advantages

This S/FTP Cat8 cable provides high transmission capacity and improved EMI protection through individual pair shielding plus an overall shield, reducing crosstalk and external interference. The 305 m bulk length simplifies long runs and structured cabling projects by allowing on-site cutting to custom lengths. The halogen-free blue jacket offers both visual identification and reduced hazard in confined spaces or public buildings. The cable meets Category 8 performance requirements for high-speed data and is suitable for deployment in professional LAN and data center environments.

Suitable for

• Backbone links in data centers and server rooms
• High-speed LAN distribution and horizontal cabling
• Shielded environments with high electromagnetic interference
• Structured cabling installations requiring halogen-free materials

Key specifications

• Length: 305 meters
• Cable type: S/FTP (individually shielded pairs with overall shield)
• Category: Cat8 (designed for high-frequency, high-speed applications)
• Jacket: Halogen-free, blue outer sheath
• Conductor: Twisted pair copper conductors
• Shielding: Foil and pair-level shields for reduced crosstalk and EMI
• Typical use temperature range: suitable for indoor structured cabling

How to use

Install the helos Cat8 bulk cable by routing the cable through trays or conduits according to local installation standards and building codes. Terminate the cable using compatible Cat8 or shielded connectors and patch panels designed for S/FTP cabling; ensure proper grounding of the cable shields and follow manufacturer guidance for shield termination to maintain shielding effectiveness. Cut to length from the 305 m spool as needed and avoid sharp bends, kinks or excessive pulling tension during installation to preserve performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain recommended bend radius and pulling tensions, use shielded RJ45 or appropriate connectors rated for Cat8, and ensure continuous grounding of the cable shield. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. Use the halogen-free properties in areas where low-smoke, non-halogen materials are required by regulation.
