Glasvezelkabel BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-5M-BO Aqua 5 m OM3 SC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-5M-BO is a 5‑metre multimode fibre optic patch cable with OM3 laser‑optimized fibre and SC/UPC connectors on both ends. Designed for full‑duplex optical links, this SC‑to‑SC patch cable is suitable for connecting patch panels, transceivers and network equipment in data centres, server rooms and telecommunications closets. The cable features a low‑loss OM3 core for high‑speed data transmission and an LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) outer sheath for installations that require reduced smoke and no halogen emissions in the event of fire.

Advantages

The cable provides low attenuation and high return loss values, supporting reliable signal integrity across short and medium reach multimode links. BlueOptics uses branded multimode fibres and robust ceramic ferrule connectors to ensure consistent mating durability and repeatable performance. LSZH sheathing reduces hazardous emissions, and each cable is factory‑tested with interferometer and OTDR with supplied measurement results.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SC‑SC OM3 patch cable by aligning and inserting the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports on patch panels, switches or transceivers until the connector latch clicks. Observe standard fibre handling practices: avoid tight bends, do not exceed the specified bend radius, and keep connector endfaces clean using approved fibre cleaning tools before mating. For best performance, route the cable in cable trays or conduits to prevent physical stress and secure the cable to avoid repeated flexing at connector ends.

Recommendations

Store and transport the cable with protective caps on the connectors. When cleaning connectors, use lint‑free wipes and suitable alcohol or dedicated fibre cleaning tools. For critical links, verify insertion loss and return loss after installation using appropriate test equipment and keep the supplied factory measurement protocol for reference.
