Glasvezelkabel METZ CONNECT 151J1EOJOA5E SC LC OM3 15 m aqua

The METZ CONNECT 151J1EOJOA5E SC LC OM3 15 m Aqua is a 15 metre multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connector on one end and LC connector on the other. It uses OM3 50 µm multimode fibre designed for high-speed, short- to medium-range data transmission in structured cabling and network backbones. The cable jacket is specified as I-V(ZN) H and the product is supplied in a distinctive aqua colour for easy identification in patch panels and cable runs.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable supports full-duplex transmission and OM3 multimode performance, enabling reliable high-bandwidth links for data centre and enterprise networks. The SC-to-LC connector pairing provides compatibility with a wide range of equipment and transceivers, while the 15 m length reduces the need for additional patching. The I-V(ZN) H jacket construction offers mechanical protection suitable for standard indoor installations, and the aqua colour helps with cable management and visual differentiation.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches, servers and optical transceivers within data centres
• Patch panel connections in enterprise LAN and server rooms
• Short- to medium-range multimode backbone links
• Structured cabling installations requiring SC-to-LC termination

How to use

Route the METZ CONNECT fibre cable between network equipment or into patch panels, making sure connector end faces are clean before insertion. Align the SC and LC connectors with the corresponding ports and insert until a tactile click or secure seating is achieved. Avoid tight bends near the connector ends and follow standard handling practices for multimode fibre to maintain optical performance. For best results, test the link with appropriate optical test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Handle connectors by the boot or housing and protect end faces with dust caps until installation. Maintain the cable bend radius recommended for multimode fibre, keep the cable away from sharp edges and high-tension routes, and perform end-to-end attenuation or continuity measurements after installation to verify link quality.
