Patchpanel METZ CONNECT 1502577512-F 1U LC-aansluitingen wit aluminium staal

The METZ CONNECT 1502577512-F 1U LC patch panel is a rack-mountable front panel engineered for structured fiber optic cabling. Constructed from aluminium and steel with a white finish, it provides a compact footprint of 482.6 mm width, 44.5 mm height and 244.5 mm depth to fit standard 19-inch racks. The unit integrates LC connectors for dense duplex fiber connections and is intended for organizing and terminating optical links in data centers, telecom rooms and network cabinets.

Advantages

Durable aluminium and steel construction offers mechanical stability and consistent alignment for LC connector ports. The 1U height conserves valuable rack space while the standardized width ensures compatibility with common rack systems. A white finish improves visibility of ports and cable routing. The panel’s LC connector format supports high-density fiber deployment and simplifies patching with commonly used LC-terminated cables.

Suitable for

• Data center fiber patching and consolidation
• Telecommunications equipment rooms and wiring closets
• LAN backbone connections and fiber distribution
• Professional network cabinets and server racks

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U rack-mount panel suitable for 19-inch racks
• Connector type: LC fiber optic connectors (duplex density)
• Materials: aluminium and steel construction for rigidity and durability
• Finish: white exterior surface for improved port visibility
• Dimensions (W×H×D): 482.6 mm × 44.5 mm × 244.5 mm

How to use

Mount the patch panel into a standard 19-inch rack using the rack-mount holes. Route incoming and outgoing fiber cables to the rear or rear adapter area as required by your installation practice, taking care to maintain appropriate bend radii for optical fiber. Terminate or connect LC-terminated pigtails or patch cords into the front LC ports, then label ports as needed for identification. Secure cables with cable management accessories to reduce strain on connector interfaces and maintain orderly routing.

Recommendations

Handle optical connectors with clean hands and use lint-free cleaning tools for ferrules before connection. Maintain minimum bend radius for fiber cables and avoid excessive tension. Use suitable cable management and strain relief to prolong connector life and preserve optical performance.
