Patchpanel LANBERG PPS5-1048-B 48-poorts 1U 19 inch Cat5e FTP zwart

LANBERG PPS5-1048-B is a 48-port, 1U, 19-inch patch panel for Cat5e FTP cabling in a black finish. It provides a rack-mounted interface for terminating shielded twisted-pair cables and organising network connections in server rooms, racks or wiring closets. The panel accepts standard RJ45 terminations and is intended for structured cabling installations where a compact, space-saving patching solution is required.

Advantages

The LANBERG PPS5-1048-B supports 48 Cat5e FTP ports in a single 1U height, allowing high port density in standard 19" racks. Its shielded (FTP) design helps reduce electromagnetic interference in installations that use screened cabling. The panel is compatible with standard RJ45 keystone modules and offers straightforward cable termination and labelling, which simplifies installation and later maintenance.

Suitable for

• Server rooms and data cabinets
• Telecommunications racks in offices and commercial buildings
• Structured cabling backbones and horizontal distribution using Cat5e FTP

How to use

Mount the patch panel in a standard 19" rack occupying one rack unit (1U). Terminate the shielded Cat5e cables to the rear IDC/RJ45 outlets according to the colour code for Cat5e FTP. Secure cable shields and grounding as required by the site's earthing practice. Label each port to match your network documentation and connect patch cables to the front RJ45 ports to link devices or switches.

Recommendations

Use the panel with Cat5e FTP cables and ensure proper grounding of the cable shield to maintain shielding effectiveness. For higher bandwidth needs, consider Cat6/6a-rated panels and cabling. Keep cable bends within recommended radii and maintain clear cable management to facilitate future changes and troubleshooting.
