Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-500615 7,5 m LC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-500615 7.5m LC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic cable with LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex data transmission, this 7.5-metre cable provides a reliable physical link for high-speed network segments where short to medium reach multimode connections are required. The green outer jacket visually identifies the OM5 specification and simplifies cable management in dense installations.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable supports wideband multimode performance suitable for modern short-range high-bandwidth applications while maintaining the simplicity of LC push-pull connectors. The 50 µm core diameter enables efficient coupling with standard multimode transceivers, and the full duplex wiring ensures simultaneous bidirectional data flow. The 7.5 m length delivers flexibility in patching between racks, panels and active devices without excess slack. The green jacket provides immediate visual identification and the durable outer sheath offers protection against routine handling and installation stresses.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, servers and optical panels
• High-speed multimode links in enterprise LANs
• Short-reach optical connections for storage area networks (SAN)
• Equipment-to-equipment links in telecommunications closets and wiring cabinets

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC
• Length: 7.5 m
• Mode: Full duplex
• Outer jacket colour: Green
• Typical use: Short- to medium-reach multimode links

How to use

Connect each LC connector to the corresponding LC port on the devices or patch panels, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress; observe the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fibre during installation. For full duplex operation, confirm that transmit and receive ports are correctly aligned between endpoints. Test the link after installation with appropriate optical test equipment to verify signal integrity and loss levels.

Recommendations

Clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools before each connection, secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent strain, and store spare length coiled without tight loops. Use compatible multimode transceivers and adhere to your network vendor's guidelines for OM5 links to achieve expected performance.
