Glasvezelkabel Ubiquiti UACC-OFC-SA-MPMP-0.5M 0,5 m OS2 geel

The Ubiquiti UACC-OFC-SA-MPMP-0.5M is a 0.5 m indoor OS2 single-mode fibre optic patch cable with MPO-12 Type B APC connectors, intended for 100G applications. The cable’s yellow jacket provides easy identification in network installations and is suitable for data center and campus networks where short interconnects between high‑speed equipment are required.

Advantages

This 0.5 m OS2 fibre patch cable supports high-speed 100G transmission using MPO-12 Type B APC terminations, offering low attenuation and consistent single-mode performance. The pre-terminated MPO connector reduces installation time and potential errors during cross-connections. The yellow outer sheath improves cable management and identification in crowded patch panels.

Suitable for

• Short interconnects in data centers and server rooms
• High-density patch panels and MPO trunks
• Connections between 100G transceivers and breakout units
• Indoor backbone and equipment-to-equipment links

How to use

Route the fibre patch cable between the two MPO-compatible ports, ensuring both ends are fully inserted and latched according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable to cable management panels to maintain the minimum bend radius. Verify link integrity and optical power levels with appropriate test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the MPO connectors with protective caps until installation, avoid excessive bending or tensile stress, and follow standard fibre cleaning procedures before mating to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
