Alcasa 40m Cat6 S/FTP-netwerkkabel blauw S/FTP

The Alcasa 40m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable Blue S/FTP is a 40-metre Category 6 Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. It features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for consistent contact quality. The blue jacket provides clear identification and a tidy appearance in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This Cat6 S/FTP cable provides improved signal integrity through combined overall foil and individually braided shielding, minimising crosstalk and external noise. The 40 m length allows flexible placement of networking equipment without intermediate couplers. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs enhance corrosion resistance and ensure stable performance over repeated insertions. The cable's construction supports higher data rates typical for Gigabit Ethernet and related applications.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections (LAN)
• Home and small office network installations
• Connecting routers, switches, NAS devices and computers
• Structured cabling runs requiring 40 m length

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually braided shields)
• Length: 40 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: blue

How to use

Route the cable between network devices taking care to avoid parallel runs alongside mains power lines to reduce possible interference. Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding port until the latch clicks into place. For wall mounting or fixed installations, secure the cable with suitable clips or cable ties without crushing the jacket. Test the connection after installation using network diagnostic tools or device link/activity indicators to confirm proper data transfer.

Recommendations

To maintain optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable, keep maximum recommended bend radius in mind, and store spare cable coiled without kinks. Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in environments where additional shielding is beneficial, and pair it with quality networking hardware capable of Gigabit speeds for best results.
