HDMI - DisplayPort-adapter Alcasa HDMI - DisplayPort M/V zwart

The Alcasa HDMI - DisplayPort Adapter converts a DisplayPort output to an HDMI input, allowing connection between devices with different display interfaces. It features a DisplayPort connector on one end and an HDMI connector on the other, with gold-plated contacts that improve conductivity and reduce corrosion. The adapter’s compact black housing is designed to integrate unobtrusively into desktop and home AV setups while providing a stable digital signal path for video and audio where supported by the source device.

Advantages

The adapter provides a simple passive conversion from DisplayPort to HDMI without additional cables, minimizing clutter. Gold-plated contacts enhance signal reliability and help maintain consistent video quality. Its small, lightweight form factor makes it easy to carry and fit into tight spaces behind monitors or AV equipment. The neutral black finish suits a range of environments and equipment styles.

Suitable for

• Connecting a DisplayPort-equipped laptop or desktop to an HDMI monitor or TV
• Using a DisplayPort graphics output with an HDMI projector
• Temporary or portable AV setups where a direct adapter reduces cable bulk

Key specifications

• Input connector: DisplayPort
• Output connector: HDMI
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter

How to use

Insert the DisplayPort end of the adapter into the source device’s DisplayPort output and connect an HDMI cable from the adapter’s HDMI end to the display device. Ensure both devices are powered on and the display input is set to the connected HDMI source. If the source supports audio over DisplayPort and the adapter passes audio, the audio stream will appear on the HDMI display. No external power or drivers are normally required for standard video conversion.

Recommendations

For best results, use a high-quality HDMI cable and ensure the source device’s display settings match the resolution and refresh rate supported by the HDMI display. If the display remains blank, check the DisplayPort output’s configuration in the source operating system and verify that the adapter is fully seated in the connector. Avoid excessive bending at the adapter junction to preserve the connector integrity.
