Alcasa 8080-050W wit 5m Cat8.1 S/FTP netwerkkabel

The Alcasa 8080-050W White 5m Cat8.1 S/FTP networking cable by Good Connections is a 5 meter patch cable designed to meet Category 8.1 performance. Equipped with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold and an S/FTP shielded construction, the cable is built to deliver high-speed data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference for demanding network environments. The white jacket provides a neutral appearance suited to residential and professional installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to limit crosstalk and external interference, supporting stable, high-bandwidth connections. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance for consistent signal transfer. With a nominal data transfer capability up to 40000 Mbit/s and flexible 5 m length, the cable balances performance and manageability for short-run links between switches, routers, servers and high-performance workstations.

Suitable for

• Short-distance high-speed links in data centers and server rooms
• Workstation to switch connections in office environments
• Home network backbones and media streaming setups
• Network testing and temporary installations requiring Cat8.1 performance

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold plating
• Cable length: 5 m
• Color: White
• Maximum data transfer rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your networking device (switch, router, network card) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference. The 5 m length is suited for tidy horizontal or patch panel runs; route the cable along cable management paths or use clips to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 S/FTP cable for short run, high-bandwidth links where maximum shielding and RJ-45 compatibility are required. For longer trunk runs, consider evaluating link budget and environmental conditions to select appropriate cable category and length.
