Alcasa LW-S930LASA InfiniBand-/glasvezelkabel 30 m LC SC geel

The Alcasa LW-S930LASA InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 30 m LC SC Yellow is a single-mode OS2 patch cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over long distances. With LC connector on one end and SC connector on the other, this 30-metre cable links equipment with different port types while maintaining signal integrity. The yellow jacket and industry-standard connectors make it suitable for structured cabling in data centres, server rooms and enterprise networks.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable uses OS2 single-mode fibre to reduce attenuation and support long-reach links. The LC and SC connectors provide compatibility with common transceivers and patch panels, enabling flexible connections between switches, storage systems and routers. The 30 m length offers extended reach without splices, and the durable outer jacket protects the fibre from handling and routing in rack environments.

Suitable for

• Data centre backbone and inter-rack connections
• InfiniBand links and high-speed storage networks
• Enterprise network infrastructure and server-to-switch patching
• Long-distance single-mode optical runs within buildings

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Length: 30 m
• Connector A: LC (single-mode)
• Connector B: SC (single-mode)
• Jacket colour: Yellow
• Suitable for: InfiniBand and fibre optic networking applications

How to use

Route the cable along cable trays or within patching racks, avoiding sharp bends and tight radii to preserve optical performance. Insert the LC connector into the LC adapter or transceiver port and the SC connector into the matching SC adapter or port until each connector clicks into place. Ensure connectors and adapters are clean before mating to prevent signal loss; use a fibre cleaning tool or lint-free wipes with appropriate cleaning solution. When removing the cable, press the release mechanism on each connector before pulling to avoid damaging the ferrule or port.

Recommendations

Maintain a minimum bend radius as specified for single-mode OS2 fibre, avoid tension beyond manufacturer guidelines and store spare cable lengths coiled loosely. Inspect and clean connectors regularly in active environments to ensure stable high-speed links in data centre and enterprise deployments.
