Glasvezelkabel Alcasa LW-930SC 30 m 2x SC geel

The Alcasa LW-930SC 30 m 2x SC Yellow is a single-mode fibre optic patch cable designed for reliable point-to-point connections in structured cabling and network environments. It uses OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter and SC connectors on both ends in a duplex configuration to support full duplex communication. The 30-metre length and bright yellow jacket make it suitable for visible routing in data centres, server rooms and telecom racks while maintaining low attenuation for long-distance signal transmission.

Advantages

The cable combines OS2 single-mode fibre characteristics with standardized SC duplex connectors to provide consistent optical performance and straightforward installation. Its 9 µm core supports low-loss transmission and stable signal integrity over longer runs compared with multimode alternatives. The yellow outer jacket improves traceability in cable bundles and facilitates maintenance, while the duplex SC terminations allow quick insertion into standard adaptors and transceiver modules.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and patch panels
• Telecommunications and carrier networks
• Server room backbone and rack-to-rack connections
• FTTx distribution and long-distance single-mode links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: 2x SC duplex (both ends)
• Length: 30 m
• Jacket colour: yellow
• Duplex configuration: full duplex
• Typical application: long-distance single-mode transmission

How to use

Route the Alcasa LW-930SC cable along existing cable pathways or through cable management trays, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension. Insert the SC duplex connectors into the corresponding adapters or transceiver ports until they click into place, ensuring correct polarity for full duplex links. If required, secure the cable with Velcro ties or cable clips to prevent strain on connectors and maintain bend radii recommended for single-mode fibre.

Recommendations

Inspect connector end-faces before installation and clean them with appropriate fibre cleaning tools to minimise insertion loss. Maintain recommended minimum bend radius for single-mode fibre, and store excess cable coiled without tight loops. For critical links, verify optical loss with a suitable power meter or optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) after installation.
