Netwerkkabel Alcasa 15m Cat6 RJ-45 S/FTP grijs

The Networking Cable Alcasa 15m Cat6 RJ-45 S/FTP Grey is a 15-metre Cat6 patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in home and office networks. The cable uses S/FTP shielding (shielded foil twisted pair) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain consistent signal transmission. The grey outer jacket provides a neutral appearance suited to a variety of installation environments and the 15 m length allows flexible placement between network devices.

Advantages

S/FTP construction minimizes external interference and improves signal integrity over longer cable runs compared with unshielded alternatives. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer corrosion resistance and stable contact for repeated insertions. The Cat6 specification supports higher frequency transmission for Gigabit Ethernet and is backward compatible with lower-category devices. A 15 m length gives a practical balance between reach and cable management for desktop, rack, or wall-mounted setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and network interfaces in home and small office networks
• Wiring between wall outlets and patch panels in office and data cabinet installations
• Connecting desktop computers, IP phones, printers and media players to a local network
• Temporary or permanent setups where a mid-length, shielded Cat6 cable is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 15 m
• Outer colour: Grey

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device (router, switch, PC, IP phone) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the receiving device or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the locking tab clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it separated from sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For fixed installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in environments where improved shielding is beneficial, such as near power distribution or when multiple cables are bundled together. Test network links after installation to verify expected data rates and replace the cable if connectors become damaged. For PoE devices, confirm that your network equipment supports the required power levels.
