Netwerkkabel Alcasa 40m Cat6 S/FTP

The Alcasa 40m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable from Good Connections is a 40 m violet Ethernet cable designed for high-speed data transmission. This Cat6 cable incorporates S/FTP shielding—an overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs—to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Both ends are terminated with RJ-45 connectors for straightforward connection to switches, routers, network interface cards and patch panels.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction improves signal integrity and helps maintain Gigabit Ethernet performance over the full 40 m length. The fixed RJ-45 terminations enable plug-and-play installation without additional crimping or on-site assembly. Its 40 m length provides flexibility for linking distant equipment within offices, server rooms or home networking setups while the violet jacket helps visual identification of network runs.

Suitable for

• Wiring between switches and patch panels in small and medium-sized networks
• Connecting desktop PCs, servers and networked printers
• Temporary or permanent runs in office or home environments where 40 m reach is required
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference that benefit from S/FTP shielding

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 40 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Violet

How to use

Route the Alcasa Cat6 S/FTP cable between devices, avoiding sharp bends and sources of excessive heat. Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device (switch, router, NIC or patch panel) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. For fixed installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories without compressing the jacket, and maintain the specified bend radius to preserve signal performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable run clear of high-voltage power lines and fluorescent lighting fixtures. Test connections with a network tester after installation to verify continuity and proper wiring. Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth applications where shielded pairs reduce interference.
