Gustav Hensel KV 1503 opbouw-verdeelkast, 3 module-eenheden, IP54, grijs

Electricians installing a compact sub-distribution point in a residential or light commercial building will find the Gustav Hensel KV 1503 an ideal choice. This surface-mounted enclosure accommodates up to three modular devices (DIN rail units) and provides reliable protection against dust and splashing water thanks to its IP54 rating. The transparent hinged lid allows quick visual inspection of installed circuit breakers or residual current devices without opening the enclosure, while the grey polycarbonate body blends unobtrusively into most surroundings.

Why choose it

The KV 1503 combines compact dimensions with robust construction. Its polycarbonate housing is both impact-resistant and halogen-free, making it suitable for environments where fire safety is a concern. The transparent lid saves time during routine checks, and the included PE/N terminals simplify wiring. The grey finish (RAL 7035) is a standard colour for electrical installations, ensuring a professional appearance.

Ideal use cases

• Residential sub-distribution for a small group of circuits
• Light commercial installations such as workshops or retail spaces
• Protection of control devices in damp or dusty areas (IP54)
• Retrofitting older installations where a modern, transparent-lid enclosure is required

Good to know

The enclosure is supplied without modular devices, so you can equip it according to your specific needs. For cable entry, simply knock out the required metric openings (M20 or M25) and use appropriate cable glands. The hinged lid can be opened without tools, but a sealable version is available separately if access needs to be restricted. Mounting is straightforward on any flat wall using the pre-formed fixing points.
