SFP-AOC-kabel BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-CO-BO 25m SFP+ stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-CO-BO is a 25 metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel interconnects. Its factory-terminated optical connection removes the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying installation in data centers and network racks. The orange cable jacket and compact SFP+ form factor make it easy to identify and install in SFP+ ports while keeping cable management tidy.

Advantages

The AOC format provides low power consumption and consistent signal integrity over the 25 m reach, reducing the number of active components in the link. With SFP+ male connectors on both ends, the cable delivers plug-and-play compatibility with devices that accept SFP+ modules, avoiding manual fibre termination. The pre-assembled optical link minimizes electromagnetic interference and supports reliable high-speed transmission suitable for server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections.

Suitable for

• Short- to medium-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in data centers
• Direct links between servers, switches and storage arrays with SFP+ ports
• Rack-to-rack and shelf-to-shelf interconnects where a 25 m optical reach is required
• Environments that benefit from reduced heat and power compared to active electrical copper cables

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Nominal reach: 25 metres
• Data rate: 10 Gbit/s (SFP+ class)
• Jacket colour: Orange
• Weight: 0.15 kg

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the latch engages. The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-25M-CO-BO is hot-pluggable; no additional transceiver modules or fibre patch cords are required. Verify link status on both devices after insertion and confirm network settings such as speed and duplex where applicable. If the device vendor requires vendor-specific identification, consult the device documentation for compatibility notes.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Keep the orange jacket clean and avoid exposing the fiber ends to dust. For reliable operation in dense racks, label both ends to identify endpoints and document connections in your inventory or cabling plan.
