Hama 00020098 netwerkkabel oranje 25 m Cat7 U/FTP (STP)

The Hama networking cable 00020098 25 m Cat7 U/FTP Orange is a 25-meter Cat7 twisted-pair cable with U/FTP shielding designed for reliable high-speed Ethernet connections. Its construction supports 10GBase-T applications and reduces electromagnetic interference, while the bright orange jacket improves visibility in wiring runs and makes identification straightforward during installation and maintenance.

Advantages

This Cat7 U/FTP cable provides improved protection against crosstalk and external interference through individually foil-shielded pairs and an overall unshielded jacket optimized for flexible routing. The 25 m length covers long runs without signal boosting in typical local network layouts, and the 10GBase-T compatibility enables high-throughput data transfers for demanding network tasks. The orange outer sheath enhances cable management by making the line easy to trace among multiple cables.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in offices, server rooms, and home networks
• Backbone links between switches and patch panels over medium distances
• Cabling where color-coded identification is required for organised installations
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: U/FTP (each pair foil-shielded)
• Length: 25 m
• Supported standard: 10GBase-T
• Outer colour: Orange
• Conductor type: twisted copper pairs (four pairs)
• Intended use: Ethernet data transmission

How to use

Route the cable between network devices, avoiding sharp bends and tight cable ties that could deform the jacket or conductor twists. Terminate both ends with appropriate Cat7-compatible RJ45 shielded connectors or patch panels following standard wiring schemes (T568A or T568B) and ensure foil shields are properly grounded where required. Test the installed link with a network cable tester to confirm continuity and performance up to 10 Gbps.

Recommendations

For best results, keep the cable away from strong electrical sources and fluorescent lighting to minimise interference. Use in-duct or raised-floor routing when possible, and label both ends to simplify future maintenance. When terminating, preserve pair twists as much as possible and secure shields to ground to maintain the cable's U/FTP performance characteristics.
