Hama 00200339 adapter HDMI type A (standaard) DVI-I zwart

The Hama 00200339 cable gender changer converts an HDMI Type A connector to a DVI-I Dual Link (24+5 pins) interface, enabling connection of a PC or notebook with HDMI output to a monitor, TV or projector that accepts DVI-I. The adapter is finished in black and is intended to transmit digital video and audio signals where the physical connector types differ.

Advantages

This compact gender changer provides a direct physical conversion between HDMI Type A and DVI-I Dual Link connectors without requiring additional cables. Its DVI-I Dual Link (24+5) connector supports high-quality digital video transmission and the simple, durable design reduces the need for multiple adapters in mixed-interface setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting an HDMI-equipped PC or laptop to a DVI-I input monitor
• Linking HDMI source devices to projectors or TVs with DVI-I ports
• Temporary conversions in offices, classrooms, or meeting rooms

• Connector B: DVI-I Dual Link (24+5 pins, female)

How to use

Insert the HDMI Type A plug from the source device into the HDMI side of the gender changer and connect the DVI-I plug to the display device’s DVI-I input. Ensure both devices are powered off when connecting or disconnecting to avoid signal issues. After physical connection, power on the devices and select the correct input on the monitor, TV or projector.

Recommendations

Use this adapter for video signals where connector conversion is sufficient; note that DVI-I does not carry HDMI audio in all cases—verify whether your display supports audio over DVI or use a separate audio connection if required.
