Hama filteradapterring, objectief-Ø: 49,0 mm, filter-Ø: 62,0 mm 62 mm

The Hama 14962 Filter Adapter Ring enables mounting 62mm filters and other 62mm accessories onto lenses with a 49mm front thread. Made of metal with a matt black finish, the adapter provides a simple mechanical connection between different filter sizes while maintaining a compact profile. Note: using small filters on wide-angle lenses can cause vignetting in strong light.

Advantages

The adapter ring is constructed from precision metal for stable attachment and long-term durability. Its matt black surface reduces reflections and helps maintain a discreet appearance on the lens. The ring supports straightforward screw-on operation for fast installation and removal of 62mm filters.

Suitable for

• Attaching 62mm screw-on filters to lenses with 49mm filter threads
• Using 62mm lens caps, hoods or other 62mm accessories on 49mm lenses
• Photographers who own filters and lenses with mismatched thread sizes

How to use

Carefully screw the adapter ring onto the lens front thread (49mm) until it is snug but not overtightened. Then screw the 62mm filter or accessory into the adapter in the same way. To avoid cross-threading, start threading by hand and align threads before applying firm pressure. Remove accessories by reversing the process.

Recommendations

Avoid using large-diameter filters on wide-angle lenses when shooting at very wide focal lengths or in strong directional light to minimize the risk of vignetting. Regularly check thread engagement and clean threads to ensure secure mounting.
