Hand-barcodescanner Socket Mobile DuraScan D760 1D/2D LED grijs

The Socket Mobile DuraScan D760 is a handheld barcode reader for 1D and 2D codes that also reads passport MRZ. It offers Bluetooth wireless connectivity with a typical range up to 100 meters, an LED imaging sensor for reliable capture, and a rugged IP54-rated housing that resists dust and water splashes. The scanner is lightweight (about 112.5 g) and powered by a 1400 mAh lithium battery, making it suitable for extended use across industries such as travel, logistics, healthcare and manufacturing.

Advantages

The DuraScan D760 combines 1D/2D barcode scanning and passport MRZ reading in a single device, reducing the need for separate equipment. Its Bluetooth compatibility with iOS (Apple-certified), Android and Windows devices allows flexible integration with mobile point-of-sale and data-collection systems. The rugged IP54 enclosure and drop protection extend durability in warehouse and outdoor environments, while antimicrobial material and easy-to-clean surfaces help maintain hygiene during frequent handling.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

The D760 is designed for general-purpose 1D/2D and MRZ scanning but may not meet requirements for specialized high-speed sorting lines or extremely harsh immersion environments, as its protection rating is IP54 (splash- and dust-resistant rather than fully waterproof). For applications that need extremely high read ranges, specialized long-range imagers may be more appropriate.

Charge the DuraScan D760 before first use, then pair it with your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth according to the device pairing instructions. Hold the scanner so the LED imager faces the barcode or passport MRZ and press the trigger to capture the image. The scanner decodes the code and transmits the data wirelessly to the connected device for processing. Clean the exterior regularly with manufacturer-recommended disinfectants to maintain hygiene and performance.
