Handheld I.R.I.S. IRISPen Reader 8 | draagbare pen-scanner voor tekstherkenning (demonstratiemodel)

The Handheld I.R.I.S. IRISPen Reader 8 is a portable pen-style scanner designed to capture printed text line-by-line and transfer recognized text directly into computer applications. This demo unit reads single lines from books, invoices, forms and other printed sources, converting scanned text into editable digital characters without the need for a flatbed scanner. It supports quick capture of quotes, notes and short passages for editing, archiving or further processing.

Advantages

The IRISPen Reader 8 provides fast, on-the-go text capture with a compact, pen-like form factor that fits easily in a bag or pocket. Optical character recognition (OCR) performed by the device supplies editable text output compatible with common word processors and text editors. As a portable solution, it eliminates the need to set up larger scanning equipment for short excerpts and reduces the time required to digitize individual lines. The demo unit offers the same functional capabilities as retail models while allowing users to evaluate performance before purchase.

Suitable for

• Digitizing short passages from books and magazines
• Entering invoice and receipt lines into accounting or expense software
• Capturing quotes, addresses and single-line notes for correspondence
• Converting printed forms and labels into editable text snippets

Recommendations

For best results, use the scanner on clean, flat printed text with standard fonts and adequate contrast between text and background. Maintain a steady hand and consistent scanning speed, and avoid scanning curved or highly glossy surfaces that can reduce recognition accuracy. Review and proofread OCR results, especially for critical documents or financial data.
