How to use

Install charged batteries or the supplied rechargeable packs according to the user manual and switch the device on. Select an appropriate common channel on both units using the channel selector. Press and hold the push-to-talk (PTT) button to speak, release to listen. Keep transmissions brief and allow pause for replies. Adjust volume or other accessible controls to match ambient noise conditions. Store spare batteries or the charging accessory with the set for extended field use.

Recommendations

Use the stated range as an approximate maximum under ideal terrain and line-of-sight conditions; urban environments, dense vegetation and building structures will reduce effective range. For reliable communication, test channel selection and signal quality on-site before operational use. Keep units charged and carry spare batteries, and follow local regulations regarding allowed radio channels and transmission power.
