HDMI-A kabel-gender-changer ShiverPeaks SP10-01053 zwart zilver

The ShiverPeaks SP10-01053 Cable Gender Changer HDMI-A is a compact adapter that converts one HDMI-A connector to another HDMI-A connector, enabling direct coupling between two HDMI cables or devices with standard Type A HDMI ports. Finished in black and silver, this gender changer features gold-plated contacts intended to improve contact reliability and reduce oxidation, supporting stable digital audio and video signal transfer for consumer AV setups.

Advantages

This HDMI-A gender changer provides a simple mechanical solution to extend or reroute HDMI connections without re-running cables. Gold-plated contacts enhance conductivity and corrosion resistance, while the compact housing minimizes desk and AV-rack clutter. The neutral black and silver finish integrates with common AV equipment and cable colors.

Suitable for

• Connecting two HDMI cables to extend reach
• Joining HDMI-equipped devices such as TVs, monitors, receivers, and set-top boxes
• Temporary or permanent reconfiguration of home or office AV setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI-A to HDMI-A
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Enclosure finish: black and silver housing
• Compatibility: standard HDMI Type A ports used on most consumer AV devices
• Form factor: compact inline gender changer

How to use

To use the ShiverPeaks HDMI-A gender changer, align each HDMI-A cable plug with the adapter’s corresponding HDMI-A receptacle and insert firmly until fully seated. Ensure a straight insertion to avoid stressing cable connectors. After connection, verify that both source and display devices recognize the signal; if necessary, power cycle connected devices or reseat connectors to resolve handshake issues.

Recommendations

For best results, use the gender changer with high-quality HDMI cables and avoid stacking multiple adapters in series. If you require long signal runs, consider using a single continuous cable or an active signal extender to preserve video bandwidth and reliability.
