HDMI-kabel Lanberg CA-HDMI-30FB-0500-BK 50 m HDMI type A 2.1 48 Gbit/s zwart

The Lanberg CA-HDMI-30FB-0500-BK is a 50 m active optical HDMI 2.1 cable with HDMI Type A male connectors on both ends. It uses optical fibres to transmit audio and video signals losslessly over long distances while remaining thin and flexible for easier routing. The optical design also provides full immunity to electromagnetic interference. The cable supports the HDMI 2.1 (Ultra High Speed) specification with a bandwidth of up to 48 Gbit/s and can carry 8K video at up to 60 Hz; using DSC (Display Stream Compression) makes higher resolutions up to 10K possible. Note that this optical HDMI cable is directional—check the markings on the connectors to ensure correct orientation.

Advantages

The cable provides lossless AV transmission over very long runs thanks to optical fibre conductors, and its slim construction simplifies installation in tight or concealed pathways. It is resistant to electromagnetic interference, supports HDMI 2.1 features and high bandwidth (48 Gbit/s), and allows transmission of 8K/60 Hz signals with the option to reach higher resolutions using DSC. Directional plugs reduce the risk of signal mismatch when connected correctly.

Suitable for

• Long-distance AV links between source devices and displays (up to 50 m)
• Home theater systems requiring HDMI 2.1 bandwidth
• Professional AV installations, conference rooms and digital signage
• Environments with strong electromagnetic interference where copper cables are unsuitable

Key specifications

• Cable length: 50 m
• Connectors: HDMI Type A (male) — both ends
• Standard: HDMI 2.1 (Ultra High Speed)
• Bandwidth: up to 48 Gbit/s
• Supported video: up to 8K @ 60 Hz native; up to 10K with DSC
• Colour: Black
• Directional: yes — check connector markings

How to use

Identify the source (player, PC, set-top box) and the display (TV, monitor, projector) before connecting. Locate the direction markings on the cable connectors and plug the end marked for the source into the source device, and the end marked for the display into the display device. Ensure both devices are powered off during installation, then power them on and verify signal detection and configuration (resolution, refresh rate, HDR, etc.) in the device settings. If using DSC to reach resolutions above 8K, enable DSC/compression options where supported by the source and display.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight bends and sharp kinks in the cable; route it with gentle curves and secure it to prevent stress at the connectors. Verify connector orientation before installation, and use cable channels or ties to protect the fibre from physical damage. Check compatibility of source and display for HDMI 2.1 features and DSC support if you plan to use resolutions above 8K.
