HONEYWELL Granit Ultra scanner-only met kabel rugged 1D/2D extreme long range

In a busy distribution center, a worker scans barcodes on pallets stacked high on racks from a safe distance. The Honeywell Granit 2100IXLR-3E makes this possible with its extreme long range scanning and rugged design. This tethered scanner reads 1D and 2D barcodes from near contact to over 15 meters, even in bright sunlight or harsh conditions. Built to survive drops, dust, and water, it keeps operations running smoothly.

Key specifications

• Extreme long range scanning: reads 1D and 2D barcodes from near contact to over 15 m (49 ft)
• Rugged construction: IP67-rated, withstands 3 m (10 ft) drops to concrete and 7,000 tumbles at 1 m (3.3 ft)
• High-resolution imaging: 1280 x 800 pixel area imager with white LED illumination and red laser aiming
• Fast motion tolerance: captures barcodes moving up to 450 in/s (11.4 m/s)
• Flexible connectivity: USB, RS232, Keyboard Wedge, IBM 46xx via interchangeable cables (sold separately)
• Wide operating temperature: -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F), 0–95% non-condensing humidity
• Low power consumption: 2.3 W, input voltage 4.0–5.5 V DC
• Industrial design: black and green housing for high visibility

Why choose it

The Granit 2100IXLR-3E is engineered for the toughest environments. Its extreme long range scanning reduces the need to climb ladders or reach into dangerous areas, improving worker safety and efficiency. The IP67 sealing and rugged drop specifications ensure reliable performance even after repeated impacts and exposure to dust and moisture. With support for multiple interfaces, it integrates easily into existing systems, making it a future-proof investment for logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing.

Ideal use cases

• Warehouse picking and put-away: scan barcodes on high shelves from floor level
• Loading dock operations: read labels on incoming and outgoing shipments quickly
• Manufacturing lines: track parts and assemblies in harsh industrial settings
• Outdoor logistics: scan in bright sunlight or dusty yards
• Cold storage: operate reliably in freezing temperatures

Good to know

The scanner is tethered, meaning it connects to a host system via a cable (not included). Interchangeable cables allow connection to USB, RS232, Keyboard Wedge, or IBM 46xx ports. It requires a separate power supply if not using USB power. The package includes the scanner only; cables, stands, and power supplies must be ordered separately. The scanner is compatible with common operating systems via keyboard wedge or USB HID modes.
