HONEYWELL Xenon Ultra 1960G - barcodescanner

In fast-paced retail, warehouse, and logistics environments, every second counts. Slow, unreliable barcode scanning leads to checkout delays, inventory errors, and frustrated customers. The Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960G area-imager scanner eliminates these bottlenecks with lightning-fast, accurate reading of virtually any barcode—even damaged or poorly printed ones. Its high motion tolerance and wide scan angles let workers scan on the first pass, every time.

Who is it for

This scanner is built for high-volume point-of-sale, back-office inventory, and light industrial applications. It suits retail associates, warehouse staff, and healthcare professionals who need a durable, ergonomic device that can withstand daily drops and harsh conditions while delivering consistent performance.

Main features

• Reads all common 1D, 2D, postal, and OCR symbologies, including Digimarc digital watermarks.
• Exceptional motion tolerance up to 400 cm/s (157 in/s) for 13 mil UPC codes—scan items in motion without stopping.
• Wide scan angles (48° horizontal, 30° vertical) capture barcodes from various orientations.
• Rugged design: survives 50 drops from 1.8 m (6 ft) to concrete and rated IP52 against dust and moisture.
• Multiple interface options: USB, RS232, keyboard wedge, and IBM 46xx for flexible integration.
• Bright white LED illumination and laser-free aiming for comfortable, precise scanning.
• Field-upgradable firmware ensures future-proof performance and easy maintenance.

Tips

For optimal performance, ensure the scanner is mounted or held at a slight angle to the barcode to reduce glare. Use the Honeywell EZConfig tool to customize settings such as beeper volume, illumination intensity, and data formatting. Regularly clean the scan window with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain read accuracy. In dusty environments, the IP52 rating helps, but avoid direct water jets.
