Hoornantenne rf elements HG3-CC-S70 N-type 11,5 dBi

The rf elements HG3-CC-S70 horn antenna with an N-type connector and 11.5 dBi gain is a compact directional antenna designed for outdoor wireless installations. Its horn form factor produces a focused radiation pattern that improves link stability and reduces susceptibility to off-axis interference. The antenna is intended for use in point-to-point or sector links where a stable, directional RF transmission and reception is required.

Advantages

This horn antenna offers a balance of moderate gain and compact size, enabling easier mounting and alignment compared to larger parabolic reflectors. The directional radiation pattern concentrates energy toward the intended target, improving signal-to-noise ratio and reducing the impact of nearby interferers. The N-type connector provides a reliable RF interface for professional installations, and the antenna's robust outdoor-compatible construction supports long-term deployment in wireless network projects.

Suitable for

• Point-to-point wireless links over short to medium distances
• Sector or focused coverage in outdoor Wi‑Fi and backhaul networks
• Scenarios requiring reduced interference and improved link stability
• Installations where a compact, easily aligned directional antenna is preferred

Key specifications

• Type: Horn directional antenna
• Gain: 11.5 dBi
• Connector type: N-type (female)
• Form factor: Compact horn for outdoor mounting
• Radiation pattern: Focused/directional for improved link stability

How to use

Mount the antenna on a suitable mast or bracket ensuring a clear line of sight toward the remote endpoint. Secure the N-type cable connection with appropriate weatherproofing to prevent moisture ingress. Align the antenna carefully while monitoring received signal strength and link quality; small adjustments in azimuth and elevation can significantly improve performance. Ensure the mounting hardware and cabling are fixed to withstand local environmental conditions.

Recommendations

For best results, use the horn antenna in environments with a clear line of sight and minimal obstructions. Pair the antenna with quality low-loss coaxial cable and properly torque the N-type connector. When deploying in noisy RF environments, combine directional placement with azimuth/elevation fine-tuning to maximise signal-to-noise ratio and link reliability.
