Ideal use cases

• Replacing a failed motherboard in an HP ProBook 450 G1 or 470 G1
• Refurbishing corporate laptops for resale or redeployment
• Upgrading a system with a known-good board to extend its service life

Good to know

The i5-4300U sips power at just 15W TDP, so battery life stays strong. The board supports Windows 10 and Linux out of the box, and the TPM chip lets you use BitLocker or other encryption without extra hardware. If you're ordering for a repair shop, keep one on the shelf—these ProBooks are still common in business fleets.
