Managed switch Aruba Instant On 1830 48G 24p PoE 4SFP 370W

The Managed Switch Aruba Instant On 1830 48G 24p PoE 4SFP 370W is a smart-managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch designed for small and medium businesses that need reliable wired connectivity. It provides 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports, four dedicated 1G SFP fiber uplinks, and a 370W Power over Ethernet (PoE) budget to power devices such as access points, IP phones and surveillance cameras. The switch supports common networking standards and energy-efficient features to deliver a cost-effective, secure wired infrastructure.

Advantages

This Aruba Instant On 1830 model combines high port density with flexible PoE power delivery and multiple management options. The switch offers gigabit performance across 48 ports, dedicated SFP ports to avoid uplink bottlenecks, and a substantial 370W PoE power budget for Class 4 PoE devices. Management can be performed locally via web GUI or remotely via the Instant On cloud/mobile app. Built-in security functions and Energy Efficient Ethernet support help protect the network while reducing power consumption.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized offices requiring high port counts and PoE for devices
• Retail stores and hospitality environments with wireless access points and IP phones
• Sites needing fiber uplinks to aggregation switches or servers
• Surveillance deployments where cameras require centralized PoE power

How to use

Rack-mount the switch and connect the uplink SFP ports to your core or aggregation switch. Connect end devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports and configure PoE settings as needed. Choose a management mode: register the device in the Instant On cloud to manage via the mobile app or web portal, or access the local web GUI for on-premises configuration. Use VLANs, 802.1X and other security settings to segment and protect network traffic.

Recommendations

Deploy the Aruba Instant On 1830 48G 24p PoE 4SFP 370W in environments that require many Gigabit ports and centralized PoE power. Plan PoE budgets per port when connecting multiple Class 4 devices to ensure total power demand does not exceed the 370W budget. Use the dedicated SFP uplinks to prevent congestion on uplink paths and enable RADIUS-based 802.1X where device authentication is required.
