i-tec Metal USB-C Charging HUB 5-poorts met USB-C video 8K + Power Delivery 85W

The i-tec Metal USB-C Charging HUB 5port 8K Power Delivery 85W is a compact multiport USB-C hub designed to expand connectivity for laptops, tablets and smartphones. With an integrated 30 cm USB-C cable, the hub provides video output up to 8K/30 Hz or 4K/144 Hz via DisplayPort Alternate Mode, fast data transfer through USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2 ports, and power delivery passthrough up to 85W while the hub consumes 15W internally. The hub is compatible with Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Android, ChromeOS and Linux and requires no drivers.

Advantages

The hub combines high-resolution video support, fast data rates and PD charging in a durable metal housing that measures 115 × 30 × 21 mm and weighs 68 g. It supports G-Sync and FreeSync for smooth graphics, provides a mix of USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) and Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports for reliable file transfers, and delivers up to 85W passthrough when connected to a 100W PD power source. Its integrated 30 cm cable ensures easy connection without additional adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting external monitors for high-resolution video editing or presentation (requires host with DisplayPort Alt Mode).
• Transferring large files between devices at up to 10 Gbps.
• Charging laptops and mobile devices while using peripherals (supports USB Power Delivery).
• Portable workstation setups for remote work, home office, or business travel.

How to use

Connect the integrated 30 cm USB-C cable to a compatible host device that supports USB-C, USB4 or Thunderbolt with DisplayPort Alternate Mode if you need external video. If you require passthrough charging, attach a USB PD power adapter (up to 100W) to the hub’s PD input; the hub will provide up to 85W to the host while using approximately 15W for its own operation. Plug peripherals and storage devices into the available USB-C ports for data transfer; no drivers are required for basic functionality.

Recommendations

To achieve the advertised video resolutions and refresh rates, ensure the host device supports DisplayPort Alt Mode via its USB-C, USB4, or Thunderbolt port and use appropriate cables and a display that support the required resolution/refresh rate. For maximum passthrough charging, use a PD adapter rated at 100W.
