The InLine® Slim Cat.6A S/FTP patch cable seriescombines highest network performance with maximum space and energy efficiency. Thanks to the particularly slim design with AWG28 conductors, these cables enable a significantly higher port density in network cabinets and ensure improved air circulation, which increases cooling and efficiency.

In contrast to conventional, thinner AWG32 cables, this cable supports full Cat.6A transmission quality at up to 500 MHzand 4PPoEwith up to87 watts. This makes it the ideal solution for professional applications where a combination of space-saving, PoE capability and high performance is required.

The use of high-quality copper conductors minimizes signal loss and ensures a reliable network connection - even over distances of up to 30 metres. The S/FTP double shielding reliably protects the cable from electromagnetic interference.

How to use

Connect the moulded RJ‑45 plugs to the corresponding ports on network devices, switches or patch panels following the 1:1 T568B wiring. Route the cable through the rack or installation path, taking advantage of the slim 4.1 mm diameter to increase port density and simplify cable management. Ensure both ends are fully inserted until the latching nose engages. For best performance, avoid excessive bending radii and keep runs within the specified distances for the required data rate.

Recommendations

For reliable 10 Gbit/s operation, keep channel lengths within the specified limits (up to 30 m for full Cat.6A performance when using AWG28 patching). Avoid sharp bends and compressive loads; maintain proper separation from strong EMI sources where possible. Use the red-coloured plug to mark specific circuits or device groups in racks to simplify identification during maintenance.
