How to use

Connect one SFF-8644 connector to the SAS port on the host controller or server and the other SFF-8644 connector to the external storage enclosure or target device. Ensure connectors are aligned with the port keying and push until the connector seats securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain. Verify link status in the host system and configure the controller or enclosure as required for the storage topology.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the cable within its specified length, avoid repeated tight bending, and verify compatibility with your SAS controller and enclosure models. Inspect connectors for damage before installation and secure connections in rack environments to prevent strain.
