The InLine Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Converter Cable 4K2K 2m (model 17172I) connects a Mini DisplayPort-equipped computer or device to an HDMI monitor or TV for video output. It supports up to 4K resolution and passes digital audio when both source and display support audio over the Mini DisplayPort/DisplayPort connection. Advantages

This adapter cable provides a single-cable solution for transmitting high-resolution video up to 4K and, when supported by the devices, digital audio. Its fixed 2 m length offers placement flexibility without the need for separate adapters, and the white design integrates with most consumer electronics.

How to use

Plug the Mini DisplayPort connector into the Mini DisplayPort (or Thunderbolt port compatible with Mini DisplayPort) on your source device. Connect the HDMI end to an HDMI input on the monitor or TV. Select the correct HDMI input on the display and, if necessary, configure the display settings on the source device to extend or mirror the desktop. If audio is required, ensure both devices support audio over the Mini DisplayPort/DisplayPort connection.

Recommendations

For best results, use with displays and source devices that explicitly support 4K output and audio over Mini DisplayPort/DisplayPort. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and secure connections before moving devices.
