IP-beveiligingscamera Foscam FABV5S (wit) – compacte PoE-domecamera voor binnen en buiten

Foscam FABV5S is a compact white dome IP security camera designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatibility for simplified wiring and integrates into existing network surveillance systems. Its low-profile dome housing allows discreet placement on ceilings or walls while providing continuous remote viewing and recording capabilities suitable for home environments and small businesses.

Advantages

The camera offers compact dimensions and a discreet appearance that reduce visual intrusion while covering critical areas. PoE compatibility simplifies installation by combining power and data over a single Ethernet cable, and network connectivity enables remote live view and playback. The dome form factor provides flexible mounting options and basic environmental protection for outdoor installations under covered areas.

Key specifications

• Form factor: compact dome suitable for ceiling and wall mounting
• Environmental suitability: designed for indoor and sheltered outdoor locations
• Network: Ethernet connectivity with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
• Video functions: continuous monitoring and remote live view via network
• Installation: low-profile design for discreet placement

How to use

Mount the camera on a stable ceiling or wall surface in a location that provides the desired field of view. Connect the device to your network switch or router using an Ethernet cable; if using PoE, a single cable will provide both power and data. Configure network settings and user access through the camera’s web interface or compatible management software, then position and focus the lens as required. Verify remote access and recording settings after installation to ensure continuous monitoring and proper integration with existing recording devices or network video recorders.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, install the camera under cover to protect it from direct exposure to rain and extreme elements. Use a PoE-capable switch or injector for streamlined cabling, and maintain firmware updates and secure network credentials to ensure stable operation and network security.
