IP-beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2745FWD-IZS dome

The Hikvision DS-2CD2745FWD-IZS Dome is an outdoor IP security camera that delivers 2688 x 1520 pixel resolution for detailed surveillance images. Designed for wired networks, this dome camera supports ceiling or wall mounting and integrates a CMOS sensor with a varifocal lens (2.8–12 mm) to adapt viewing distance and perspective. Mechanical rotation covers up to 355° with a horizontal field of view of 114° and a vertical field of view of 59°, making it suitable for broad area monitoring in residential, commercial, and public environments.

Advantages

The camera’s 2688 x 1520 resolution and 30 fps frame rate provide smooth, high-quality video useful for identification and incident review. A varifocal 2.8–12 mm lens allows adjustment between wide-angle and telephoto views without changing the camera housing, while the 355° rotation range increases coverage and reduces blind spots. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures stable data transmission for continuous monitoring, and built-in video motion detection supports event-triggered recording and alerts. The white, compact dome design is made for outdoor placement and offers discreet, weather-ready installation on ceilings or walls.

Suitable for

• Outdoor perimeter and entrance surveillance
• Parking lots and driveways monitoring
• Commercial property and retail exterior coverage
• Public spaces such as parks and transit stops

How to use

Choose a stable mounting location on a wall or ceiling that provides an unobstructed view of the area to be monitored. Install the camera following mounting bracket instructions and route the Ethernet cable to a network switch or PoE injector/switch if Power over Ethernet is used. Access the camera through the Hikvision web interface or a compatible VMS to configure resolution, frame rate, and the varifocal lens position to achieve the required field of view. Enable video motion detection and set recording schedules or event-based alerts according to monitoring needs.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, place the camera under an overhang where possible to reduce direct exposure to weather. Use a PoE-enabled network switch for consolidated power and data cabling. Regularly check lens position and clean the dome cover to maintain image clarity. Test motion detection zones and sensitivity after installation to minimize false alarms from moving foliage or traffic.
