IP-beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2T83G2-4I 4K bullet

The Hikvision DS-2CD2T83G2-4I 4K Bullet is an IP security camera designed for both indoor and outdoor surveillance. It captures video at 3840 x 2160 resolution to deliver detailed images and supports wired Ethernet connectivity for stable data transmission. The camera has a bullet form factor in white, supports ceiling and wall mounting, and is built to function in low-light environments with a minimum illumination of 0.005 lx. With a horizontal field of view of 87° and a full 360° rotation capability, the device is intended for flexible placement and broad coverage in varied surveillance scenarios.

Advantages

The DS-2CD2T83G2-4I provides high-resolution 4K imaging for clearer identification of faces, objects and license plates. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures reliable network performance and lower latency compared with wireless alternatives. Its bullet design and white finish allow for discreet installation on ceilings or walls, while 360° rotation and an 87° viewing angle enable versatile monitoring configurations. Low-light sensitivity improves performance at night or in dimly lit spaces, and built-in video motion detection supports intelligent event triggering.

Suitable for

• Retail stores and shopping centers requiring high-detail surveillance
• Building entrances, parking lots and perimeter monitoring
• Warehouse aisles and loading areas where ceiling or wall mounting is needed
• Public spaces and corridors that need continuous, high-resolution recording

Connect the device to the local network via Ethernet cable and configure network settings according to your recorder or VMS requirements. Adjust the camera orientation to cover the intended area, taking advantage of the 360° rotation and the 87° field of view to minimise blind spots. Configure exposure and low-light settings in the camera menu to optimise image quality during night-time or dim conditions. Enable video motion detection and set sensitivity or detection zones to reduce false alarms.

Recommendations

For reliable continuous recording, use a wired PoE-capable switch or injector to provide both power and network connectivity. Position the camera at a height and angle that balance wide coverage with sufficient detail for identification tasks. Regularly check firmware updates from the manufacturer and perform periodic cleaning of the lens and housing to maintain image clarity.
