IP-beveiligingscamera TP-Link VIGI 3MP turret netwerkcamera

The TP-Link VIGI 3MP Turret Network Camera (VIGI C400HP-4) is an IP security camera suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It delivers 3MP ultra-high-definition video with a 92° horizontal viewing angle and supports ceiling mounting. The camera provides up to 30 m night vision, wired Ethernet connectivity, and a compact white turret/dome design for discrete installation.

Advantages

This camera offers higher resolution imaging at 3MP for clearer detail capture and comes in 2.8 mm and 4 mm lens options to suit wide-angle or longer-distance monitoring. It includes smart detection functions such as motion detection, area intrusion, line crossing, and camera tampering alerts. Image quality is enhanced by Smart IR, Wide Dynamic Range and 3D DNR, while H.265+ compression reduces storage and bandwidth usage. Power options include PoE or 12V DC for flexible installation and simplified wiring.

Suitable for

• Indoor ceiling surveillance (corridors, offices, elevators)
• Outdoor covered areas and entrances
• Parking lots and open spaces (with 4 mm lens)
• Retail and small business monitoring with zone-based alerts

How to use

Install the camera on a ceiling or other supported surface using the turret mount. Choose the lens version (2.8 mm for wider coverage or 4 mm for longer-range monitoring) before mounting. Connect the camera to your network via Ethernet; supply power through PoE for single-cable installation or use a 12V DC adapter if PoE is unavailable. Configure the camera and recording settings through a compatible VIGI NVR or management software, set detection zones and line-crossing boundaries, and adjust Smart IR and WDR settings as needed.

Recommendations

For best results, position the camera to minimize direct backlighting and ensure the area of interest is within the chosen lens's effective range. Use PoE where possible to simplify wiring and reduce installation points, and configure custom activity zones to reduce false alerts from non-critical motion.
