IP-bewakingscamera Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2T83G2-2LI(2.8MM) outdoor

The Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2T83G2-2LI(2.8MM) Outdoor is an 8 MP IP security camera designed for outdoor video monitoring. It delivers 3840 x 2160 resolution imaging with a 108° horizontal field of view and a 360° rotation capability for flexible installation on ceilings or walls. The camera uses a CMOS sensor and provides effective detection at distances up to 84 meters and recognition up to 16 meters. Wired Ethernet connectivity, built-in audio support, and compact white housing make it suitable for professional perimeter and site surveillance.

Advantages

The camera provides high-resolution imaging while using efficient H.265+ compression to reduce storage and bandwidth requirements. True WDR up to 120 dB improves image clarity in scenes with strong backlight. Smart Hybrid Light combines IR and white light with multiple illumination modes for improved night-time visibility. Vandal-resistant and weatherproof construction ensures continuous operation in outdoor environments. Built-in audio and deep-learning based classification help focus on relevant events such as people and vehicles.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and entrance monitoring for commercial buildings
• Parking lots and outdoor car parks
• Campus and municipal outdoor surveillance
• Warehouse and yard coverage where weather resistance is required

How to use

Mount the camera to a suitable ceiling or wall surface using appropriate anchors and ensure the housing is oriented to cover the desired scene. Connect to a PoE-enabled switch or use a compatible power and network configuration for wired Ethernet. Configure image settings, night illumination mode and motion detection in the recorder or camera web interface. Use the built-in classification and motion detection settings to reduce false alarms and integrate the camera into your VMS or NVR for centralized recording and playback.

Recommendations

Place the camera at a height that balances field of view and recognition distance, typically 2.5–5 m for pedestrian-level monitoring. Use H.265+ compression to conserve storage, and enable true WDR in scenes with strong backlighting. Schedule or configure the Smart Hybrid Light modes for nighttime conditions to obtain color imaging when needed while limiting light pollution. Regularly check seals and mounting hardware to maintain IP67 and IK10 protection.
