IP-camera Hikvision DS-2CD1141G2-LIU 2,8 mm

The Hikvision DS-2CD1141G2-LIU 2.8mm is a compact 4MP IP camera designed for everyday surveillance tasks. It delivers high-resolution 4MP video with a 2.8mm fixed lens for a wide field of view, uses H.265+ compression to reduce storage and bandwidth demands, and includes a built-in microphone for basic audio capture. The camera features infrared night vision for low-light performance and a weatherproof housing that allows flexible placement both indoors and outdoors.

Advantages

The camera’s 4MP sensor provides clear detail suitable for general monitoring while the 2.8mm lens covers broad areas. H.265+ video compression optimizes storage space and network usage without sacrificing image quality. Integrated audio recording expands situational awareness. IR illumination supports nighttime visibility, and the compact, weather-resistant design enables discreet installation in a variety of locations.

Suitable for

• Residential property monitoring (entrances, driveways, yards)
• Small business and retail surveillance (interiors, storefronts)
• Office and common-area monitoring
• Outdoor coverage where a wide field of view is required

Key specifications

• Image sensor: 4 megapixels
• Lens: 2.8 mm fixed lens for wide-angle coverage
• Video compression: H.265+ (with backward compatibility for H.265/H.264)
• Audio: Built-in microphone for one-way audio monitoring
• Night vision: Infrared (IR) illumination for low-light imaging
• Weather resistance: Outdoor-capable housing with ingress protection (weatherproof)

How to use

Install the camera in a stable position that provides the desired field of view, aiming the 2.8mm lens to cover the intended area. Connect the camera to your network via Ethernet or compatible PoE switch according to your system architecture, configure IP and recording settings in the NVR or camera web interface, and enable H.265+ encoding to reduce storage demand. Activate the built-in microphone if audio monitoring is required. Verify IR night mode operation in low-light conditions and adjust mounting height and angle to avoid direct glare or obstructions.

Recommendations

For best results, mount the camera at a height that balances field of view and subject detail (typically 2.5–4 meters for entrances), use a PoE connection to simplify power and data wiring, and combine the camera with a compatible Hikvision NVR or VMS for centralized recording and playback. Regularly check lens cleanliness and firmware updates to maintain image quality and security.
