iStorage diskAshur PRO2 1 TB USB 3.2 externe harde schijf

The iStorage diskAshur PRO2 1TB USB 3.2 is a hardware-encrypted portable hard drive that provides PIN-authenticated access and real-time AES-XTS 256-bit encryption. The drive is software-free, platform-independent and compatible with any device that has a USB port, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and Chrome environments. It includes a dedicated secure microprocessor with physical protection mechanisms and certification for NCSC CPA, FIPS 140-2 Level 2, NLNCSA BSPA and NATO Restricted Level.

Advantages

The diskAshur PRO2 offers strong hardware-based encryption without relying on host software, a numeric keypad for a unique 7–15 digit PIN, and fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 transfer performance (read up to 171 MB/s, write up to 148 MB/s). Built-in tamper protection and an automated deadlock (frozen) state defend against physical tampering and bypass attacks. The drive is GDPR-compliant, compact (0.216 kg) and available in black with a 1 TB capacity.

How to use

Set up the diskAshur PRO2 directly on the device using the built-in keypad to create a unique 7–15-digit PIN; no additional software installation is required. Connect the drive to a USB port on your computer or device to access data after successful PIN authentication. If the PIN is entered correctly the drive will unlock and behave as a standard external HDD; if the PIN is not provided the drive remains inaccessible.

Recommendations

Choose a PIN that is easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess, keep a written recovery note in a separate secure location if required, and ensure the drive is disconnected when not in use to reduce exposure. For high-security environments follow your organisation’s device handling and storage policies.
