K2 Systems S-Dome 6.15 Windbreaker LS - aerodynamische windafscherming voor platdak-PV-systemen

For installers seeking to maximize energy yield on low-slope commercial rooftops, the K2 S-Dome 6.15 Windbreaker LS offers a decisive advantage: it reduces wind uplift forces on the rear of landscape-oriented modules, allowing for lower ballast weights without compromising structural safety. This aerodynamic element is engineered specifically for the K2 S-Dome 6.15 flat roof system, transforming wind from a design constraint into an optimization opportunity.

Highlights

• Purpose-built for landscape module orientation (LS) on flat roofs
• Reduces wind load on module rows, enabling ballast savings of up to 30% in many configurations
• Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminium EN AW-6063 T66 with a durable mill finish
• Certified as a TÜV Rheinland system component, ensuring compliance with Eurocode standards
• Simple integration with existing S-Dome 6.15 rails using K2 SpeedClips (sold separately)
• Backed by a 12-year manufacturer warranty for long-term reliability

In daily use

Installed at the rear edge of each module row, the Windbreaker LS deflects airflow that would otherwise create negative pressure behind the panels. This reduces the overall lifting force on the array, which is particularly critical in high-wind regions or on roofs with limited load-bearing capacity. The result is a more stable system that often requires fewer ballast blocks, cutting material costs and installation time. The aluminium profile is lightweight yet rigid, and its neutral finish blends seamlessly with standard PV module frames.
