Kabel-adapter SCART naar 3xRCA ShiverPeaks BS94034

The ShiverPeaks BS94034 Cable Gender Changer SCART 3xRCA provides a simple wired solution for connecting devices that use a SCART output to equipment that accepts three RCA inputs. The adapter has a SCART connector on one end and three RCA plugs on the other, enabling transmission of composite video and stereo audio signals between older AV sources and RCA-equipped displays or recorders. Its black housing and straightforward construction make it suitable for residential and professional AV setups where a reliable SCART-to-RCA connection is required.

Advantages

This cable gender changer offers a compact and direct connection without the need for separate converters or power supplies. The integration of one SCART connector and three RCA plugs supports composite video plus left and right audio channels, reducing cable clutter and simplifying setup. The black finish and robust connectors are designed for repeated insertion and secure contact, providing a durable option for connecting legacy equipment to modern AV devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting older DVD players, VCRs or set-top boxes with SCART outputs to TVs or monitors with RCA inputs
• Feeding composite video and stereo audio into AV receivers or recorders with RCA jacks
• Temporary or permanent wired AV installations where SCART-to-RCA signal routing is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type (one end): SCART
• Connector type (other end): 3× RCA (composite video + stereo audio)
• Signals supported: composite video, left and right audio channels
• Colour: black

How to use

Insert the SCART plug into the SCART socket of the source device until it seats firmly. Plug the three RCA connectors into the corresponding RCA inputs on the target device, matching colours where applicable (typically yellow = video, red = right audio, white = left audio). Ensure both devices are switched off when making connections to prevent signal spikes. After connections are secured, power on the devices and select the appropriate input on the display or recorder to receive the composite video and stereo audio signal.

Recommendations

For best results, keep cable runs short to minimise signal degradation and avoid running the cable alongside high-power electrical lines that could introduce interference. If the SCART source supports RGB and the target device does not, verify compatibility because this adapter carries composite signals; for signal format conversion between different standards an active converter may be required.
