Kabel gender changer 3,5 mm 2x RCA ShiverPeaks BS57090

The ShiverPeaks BS57090 Cable Gender Changer converts a single 3.5mm audio plug to dual RCA outputs in a compact black adapter. It is designed for linking portable devices with a 3.5mm jack—such as smartphones, tablets or laptops—to audio systems, amplifiers or speakers that accept left/right RCA inputs. Nickel-plated contacts improve conductivity and reduce corrosion, while the compact form factor supports easy storage and transport.

Advantages

The adapter provides reliable signal transfer between a 3.5mm source and RCA-equipped playback or recording equipment without requiring a full cable replacement. Nickel-plated connectors enhance contact quality and long-term durability. Its small footprint and lightweight construction make it convenient for travel, studio use, or home setups where space is limited. The black housing minimizes visual distraction in consumer AV installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting smartphones, tablets or laptops with a 3.5mm output to stereo amplifiers or powered speakers with RCA inputs
• Routing audio from portable players to home hi-fi systems for playback or recording
• Temporary or permanent audio connections in home, office, or mobile setups

Key specifications

• Input connector: 3.5mm stereo plug
• Output connectors: 2 × RCA (left and right channels)
• Contact plating: nickel-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Colour: black
• Form factor: compact inline adapter designed for portability

How to use

Insert the 3.5mm plug securely into the headphone or line-out jack of the source device. Connect the left and right RCA plugs to the corresponding RCA inputs on the amplifier, receiver or speakers, observing channel markings where present. Ensure both devices are powered down or volume set low when making connections to avoid loud transients. After connections are made, power on the equipment and adjust levels as needed for playback or recording.

Recommendations

For optimal audio quality, use the adapter with devices that provide a line-level output rather than a low-gain microphone output. Avoid stressing the connectors with excessive bending; when transporting, store the adapter in a protective pocket or compartment to prevent mechanical wear to the nickel-plated contacts and housing.
