Kabel gender changer RJ-45 ShiverPeaks BS75005-M

The ShiverPeaks BS75005-M is a compact metallic RJ-45 cable gender changer designed to join two RJ-45 Ethernet cables quickly and reliably. Featuring gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance, this adapter provides a straightforward solution for converting plug orientations without altering cable runs. Its robust metal housing offers mechanical protection and shielding benefits in typical home and professional network environments.

Advantages

This RJ-45 gender changer delivers consistent electrical contact via gold-plated pins, reducing signal loss and maintaining stable data transmission. The metal enclosure increases durability and helps shield against electromagnetic interference. Its small footprint makes it easy to install in tight spaces, while the straightforward pass-through design requires no tools or termination work.

Suitable for

• Extending or redirecting existing Ethernet runs where an RJ-45 plug-to-plug connection is needed
• Temporary network setups during maintenance or device replacement
• Home networks, small offices, server racks, and AV installations
• Connecting patch cables when a gender conversion is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 female to RJ-45 female
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Housing: metallic shell for mechanical protection and shielding
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a and similar)
• Data transmission: suitable for typical Ethernet speeds supported by the connected cables

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plugs from two Ethernet cables into the adapter’s female ports until they click into place. Ensure the plugs are fully seated to maintain secure contact. Once connected, verify network link and data transmission through the devices at each cable end. If used in a rack or tight area, position the adapter to avoid excessive bending of the attached cables.

Recommendations

For best results, use with cables and network equipment rated for the required network speed; avoid subjecting the adapter to repeated mechanical stress. Keep connections dry and free of dust, and inspect contacts periodically if used in harsh environments.
