The ShiverPeaks BS13-40004 USB-C to USB-C Grey is a compact cable gender changer designed to join two USB-C cables or devices directly. With a neutral grey housing and two USB-C ports, this adapter provides a straightforward way to extend reach or convert cable ends without changing functionality. It supports standard USB-C physical connections for data transfer and charging between compatible devices.

Advantages

This gender changer offers a compact form factor that fits into tight spaces and pocket storage. The grey housing provides a discreet appearance suitable for home, office, and travel use. It allows two USB-C cables or devices to be connected without requiring a separate cable, simplifying temporary setups and reducing the need to carry multiple adapters.

Suitable for

• Extending reach by joining two USB-C cables
• Connecting two USB-C devices for data transfer when direct joining is supported
• Adapting cable ends when a temporary connection is required
• Use in compact workstations, on-the-go setups, and cable management scenarios

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB-C to USB-C
• Colour: Grey
• Form factor: Inline gender changer / coupler
• Compatibility: Devices and cables with USB-C connectors (functionality depends on device and cable capabilities)

How to use

Insert one USB-C cable or device connector into one side of the ShiverPeaks gender changer and insert the second USB-C cable or device connector into the opposite side. Ensure both cables and connected devices support the intended function (power delivery, data transfer, video) as capabilities depend on the original cables and devices. Avoid forcing connectors; align the USB-C plugs before insertion to prevent damage.

Recommendations

Use this adapter for temporary or occasional connections rather than permanent installations. Check the specifications of the connected cables and devices to confirm support for charging rates, data speeds, or alternate modes; if precise power delivery or high-speed data is required, use certified cables and consider a single continuous cable designed for the required specifications.
