Kabel-Gender-Changer ShiverPeaks BS75006-M-SET

The ShiverPeaks BS75006-M-SET is a metallic RJ-45 cable gender changer designed to connect two Ethernet cables quickly and securely. Constructed with a metal housing and gold-plated contacts, this adapter provides reliable signal transfer and improved resistance to wear and corrosion. It is a compact, inline solution for extending or reconfiguring network cabling without replacing existing cables.

Advantages

The metal housing offers mechanical strength and shielding against electromagnetic interference, while the gold-plated contacts ensure stable conductivity and long-term contact reliability. Its compact, tool-free design enables fast installation and minimal signal loss when joining two RJ-45 cables. The adapter's durable construction makes it suitable for frequent handling and continued use in both office and industrial settings.

Suitable for

• Joining two RJ-45 Ethernet cables to extend network runs
• Temporarily reconfiguring cable layouts during installations or maintenance
• Quick tests and troubleshooting of network segments
• Use in office, server room, or light industrial environments where a compact inline adapter is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 female to RJ-45 female
• Housing material: metal
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Form factor: compact inline adapter
• Compatibility: standard Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6 and similar depending on cable type)

How to use

To use the gender changer, align each RJ-45 plug with the corresponding female port on the adapter and insert until the latch clicks into place. Ensure both cable ends are fully seated to maintain proper electrical contact. The adapter can remain inline for permanent or temporary connections; when removing, depress the cable latch and gently pull the plug from the adapter to avoid damaging the connector.

Recommendations

For best performance, use with cables of matching category (for example Cat5e with Cat5e or Cat6 with Cat6) to preserve signal characteristics. Avoid exposing the adapter to prolonged moisture or corrosive environments despite its metal housing. If used in high-interference environments, verify link speed and integrity after installation.
