Kabel-genderchanger ShiverPeaks BS77046

The ShiverPeaks BS77046 Cable Gender Changer is a compact adapter that converts a USB A connector to a USB B connector, enabling direct connection between devices with mismatched USB ports. Designed for devices that require a USB A to USB B interface, this adapter supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) data transfer rates and includes nickel-plated contacts for improved conductivity and resistance to corrosion. Its black housing integrates unobtrusively into professional and home setups while maintaining a sturdy physical connection.

Advantages

This gender changer provides a simple and reliable solution for connecting peripherals or cables that otherwise would not mate due to differing plug types. The support for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) ensures compatibility with high-speed USB data transfer standards, while nickel-plated contacts contribute to long-term signal integrity and reduced contact wear. The compact form factor and neutral black color make it practical for use in tight spaces and mixed-device environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting a USB A cable to a device with a USB B port
• Adapting existing USB cables in offices, studios, or lab environments
• Temporary or permanent setups where matching connector types is necessary
• Extending compatibility between printers, audio interfaces, external drives, and host controllers

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB A
• Connector 2: USB B
• USB version: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) — supports high-speed USB data transfer
• Contacts: nickel-plated for improved corrosion resistance and conductivity

How to use

Insert the USB A plug of your cable into the USB A receptacle of the adapter, then connect the USB B end of the adapter to the device with a USB B port. Ensure connectors are aligned and inserted gently to avoid damaging the ports. The adapter functions passively and does not require drivers or external power; data transfer speed will depend on the connected devices and cables supporting the indicated USB version.

Recommendations

To maintain optimal performance, use high-quality USB cables that match the USB 3.2 Gen 1 specification and avoid subjecting the adapter to excessive bending or mechanical stress. For long-term installations, periodically check contact surfaces for debris and ensure secure seating to preserve signal integrity.
