Kabelgeleidingsslang zelfsluitend dubbellaags DELOCK 5 m × 16 mm, oranje

DELOCK cable protection sleeve self-closing double-layer, 5 m × 16 mm in orange is designed to bundle and protect cables from abrasion and light mechanical stress. The sleeve features a slit for retrofitting existing wiring and a double-layer construction that combines a wear-warning layer with a durable outer layer. Made from polyester monofilament and multifilament, the sleeve is reusable and rated to operate in a wide temperature range, making it suitable for a variety of indoor and industrial routing tasks.

Advantages

The double-layer design provides enhanced stability and protection against kinking, abrasion and light impacts while remaining flexible for easy installation without tools. An integrated wear indicator makes it possible to identify when the inner layer is exposed and the sleeve should be inspected or replaced. The sleeve’s material composition and flammability rating support safe use across a broad temperature range.

Suitable for

• Bundling power, data and signal cables in workshops, offices and industrial environments
• Protecting exposed wiring in machinery, server racks and production lines
• Retrofit routing of new cables along existing installations through the overlapping slit
• Organising cable runs in home entertainment or home office setups

When it may not be suitable

This sleeve protects against abrasion and light mechanical stress but is not intended as a replacement for heavy-duty conduit or rigid protective tubing in applications with severe impact, crushing or sharp cutting forces. It also does not provide waterproof sealing or rated protection against chemical exposure; in corrosive or wet environments a specialized sealed conduit should be chosen.

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Inner diameter: 16 mm
• Color: orange (with black wear indicator)
• Construction: double-layer
• Material: polyester monofilament and multifilament
• Reusable: yes
• Operating temperature range: -40 °C to 150 °C
• Flammability classification: UL 94

How to use

Open the self-closing slit and insert the cables or wiring bundle, then allow the sleeve to close around them. For retrofitting, route the sleeve along the cable run and press the overlapping edges together to secure. Trim the sleeve to the desired length with scissors if necessary and use cable ties or clamps at mounting points to prevent movement. Periodically inspect the sleeve for wear; if the inner orange layer or the wear indicator becomes visible, replace the sleeve to maintain protection.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm that 16 mm inner diameter is sufficient for the cable bundle you plan to protect
• Check the 5 m length against the total routed distance to ensure adequate coverage
• Consider environmental conditions — this sleeve is not waterproof or chemically sealed
• Ensure temperature range (-40 °C to 150 °C) matches your application requirements

Recommendations

For best results, install the sleeve with a slight overlap at joints and secure ends near connectors or strain points using appropriate clamps or cable ties. Replace the sleeve at first sign of inner layer exposure indicated by the wear marker to avoid cable damage.
