The Lenovo Kensington MicroSaver 2.0 Cable Lock 2 (Lenovo 4XE1L68273) is a compact security cable designed to protect laptops and other devices equipped with a 3 x 7 mm Kensington slot. The lock uses a key mechanism and comes with two keys; the 1.8 m black carbon-steel cable and 5 mm diameter provide a balance of reach and strength for everyday use.

Advantages

The cable lock offers a key-operated mechanism for simple and reliable locking, a durable carbon steel cable construction, and a compact design that is easy to carry and install. Its 1.8 m length allows flexible anchoring options while the included two keys reduce the risk of being locked out if one key is lost.

Suitable for

• Securing laptops with a 3 x 7 mm Kensington slot
• Protecting docking stations, monitors or small devices with compatible Kensington slots
• Temporary anti-theft protection in offices, classrooms and public areas

How to use

Keep both keys in a safe place and use the cable to tether the device to an anchor point that cannot be easily moved.

Recommendations

Use the cable lock as a deterrent against opportunistic theft; it does not make the device invulnerable to determined attacks. Regularly inspect the cable and lock for wear or damage and store the spare key separately from the device to prevent loss of access.
